Bloom iCounselling provides online counselling to individuals who are looking to live happier and healthier lives. I help people live more fulfilled and happier lives by helping each individual take advantage of the opportunities they have in their life and be grateful for the present situation. I use mindfulness based strategies, client centered approaches and relational practice including solution focused and narrative theoretical frameworks to help individuals work through their struggles. iCounselling allows individuals to access counseling services from anywhere so that time, location and busy schedules does not stop someone from getting the private counselling they need.
iCounselling is not for everyone. If you are struggling with any safety concerns such as suicidal thoughts or concerned about the safety of yourself or others please contact your local police or crisis hotline.
Insurance invoices can be provided for reimbursement of service. Please check with your insurance provider if you have this covered under extended health.

A Happier, Healthier You

Are you struggling with anxiety? Feeling overwhelmed with "everything and nothing at the same time"? Are you noticing repeated patterns in your life that you want to break free from? Are you feeling that you don't have the time to physically go to counseling?
Bloom iCounseling offers remote counseling services. Remote counseling services allow individuals to get the support they need wherever you are. The online counseling methods that Bloom iCounseling offers are phone counseling, email counseling, text or live chat counselling, and video-conferencing (such as facetime or zoom).
or Phone Counseling
If you are looking for a face to face online counselling experience, this is it. Through video conferencing we can request a specific time and date where I can call you using one of the many facetime calling apps available. The other similar option is phone counseling the set up is the same as the facetime option except no face to face experience. I typically a lot one hour to a session but this can be discussed ahead of time.
If you prefer to read emails, take your time to digest the info and want to take you time to reply OR if you are often awake and reading at strange hours through the day and night then this type of counseling may be best suited for you. Here we explore counselling primarily through email replies back and forth. I typically a lot one hour to reading your email and responding in a thoughtful, therapeutic manner.
Text based/Online Chat Counseling
If you prefer to text others or do online chats where the other person is live and available at the time you need but not using video or facetime to see each other's faces then this type of counseling is best for you. Here we use texting and/or chat as a way to communicate. I typically alot one hour sessions of texting back and forth but this can be discussed ahead of time.
Joselin Zak is a registered Social Worker with over 10 years experience. She has received her Child and Youth Worker Diploma from Humber College, Bachelor in Psychology at York University and Master of Social Work from Laurier University and a Certified Hypnotherapist. She is a social worker in good standing with the Ontario College of Registered Social Workers and Social Service Workers, and with the Ontario Association of Social Workers.
Joselin works through a relational therapeutic framework where I take my time to truly understand my client by building a healthy and therapeutic relationship. I utilize strategies such as empathy, hypnotherapy, mind body integration, mindfulness, meditation, CBT and we also address deep rooted core beliefs and how to reengineer them.
I incorporate acceptance (both of the self and of those around us) and compassion to help individuals live happier and more fulfilling lives.

Joselin utilizes empirically based strategies to assist her clients in living more intentional and focused lives to address challenges, foster growth and build resiliency. Through this approach Joselin is able to support her clients in self awareness and balanced wellbeing through mindfulness, energy awareness and mind-body wellness.
Joselin is committed to providing client centered approach focused on self-awareness. Joselin and her clients work together to set goals and Joselin is able to pull from a variety of therapeutic methodologies to best foster growth in her clients.

Joselin brings a genuine curiosity to her work, and a deep desire to understand her client’s lived experiences. As such, she listens carefully to her clients, such that they feel understood and validated. It is a priority for her to create a supportive, compassionate and non-judgmental environment.

I am currently a Wilfrid Laurier University Masters of Social Work practicum student with Bloom iCounseling. I have over 25 years of experience working in mental health and counseling children and adolescents aged 4-21. I am passionate about working with families and individuals to reach their goals. I use creativity, play, and CBT amongst other modalities in sessions to help express, vocalize and address concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, and many others.
